Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department. This role will involve leading projects and developing electrical design documents and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and develop electrical design documents and drawings
  • Analyze and approve the work of others, monitor team performance, and ensure project estimates are met
  • Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMI's process equipment, and instrumentation
  • Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others to provide technical expertise and support
  • Lead project meetings, make presentations, and perform electrical calculations, including voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arch flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding
  • Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and travel to client project sites to support field walk downs and as-built efforts
Requirements
  • Electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas, or other industrial process industries
  • Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc.
  • Working knowledge of technical Codes and Standards: NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word, and familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, or other design software
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited college is required, and PE License is also required
  • Client projects for this position require US Citizenship, and a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under insurance carrier

Physical Requirements

The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation, work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted, and may be required to lift up to 20 lbs. The job also requires the ability to visit industrial sites and construction sites for the intent of performing inspections and observations that may be physically demanding.
