Job Title: FT Cashier

At The Salvation Army Central Territory, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused FT Cashier to join our team.

Job Summary:

The FT Cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and handling transactions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our shoppers and donors
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment
  • Handle each transaction with accuracy and efficiency
  • Work to understand the Point of Sales system and complete sales effectively
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor and greet customers
  • Follow all Salvation Army policies regarding the sale of merchandise
  • Keep floor stocked and put new merchandise out
  • Meet production goals for the store each day
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or currently pursuing
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of the Point of Sales System and payroll program
  • Ability to give change accurately
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
