Klaviyo is seeking a Lead Security Operations Engineer to join our expanding Security Intelligence Operations team. This role is highly technical and involves a combination of: threat intelligence, proactive threat hunting, security engineering, and the development, deployment, and maintenance of technologies, all aimed at resolving intricate security challenges in support of the Security Intelligence Operations team. As a Lead Security Operations Engineer, you will have the chance to provide thought leadership in threat intelligence and hunting, take charge of the complete threat intelligence and hunting lifecycle, and drive key engineering initiatives.

Your Impact:

  • Design, implement, and manage threat intelligence and hunting technologies (e.g., TIP, Deception Endpoints)
  • Create tools, integrations, and automations to enhance threat intelligence and hunting operations
  • Act as a subject matter expert in threat intelligence and stay updated on emerging threats
  • Conduct threat research and monitor threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) relevant to Klaviyo
  • Execute threat hunts informed by both internal and external threat intelligence
  • Enhance threat research capabilities, including the extraction of indicators of compromise (IOCs) and TTPs through digital forensics
  • Collaborate with the broader Security Intelligence Operations team and assist with incident response
  • Mentor and develop fellow engineers within the team

We are eager to connect with you if you possess:

  • 4+ years of experience in security operations or engineering within modern cloud environments
  • Hands-on expertise in threat intelligence, threat hunting, and security operations
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Threat Intelligence Platforms
  • Proficiency in building tools, integrations, and automations
  • Strong skills in Linux and MacOS internal and security investigations
  • In-depth understanding of techniques, tools, and procedures (TTPs) utilized by threat actors
  • Practical experience with SIEM and centralized logging solutions (e.g., Splunk, Snowflake)
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages for automation (Python, Go)
  • Experience securing cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices
  • An automation-first mindset in all tasks performed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A collaborative spirit with a strong, self-directed work ethic

The compensation range for this position is outlined below. Additionally, sales roles may qualify for variable compensation, and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws.
