Job Title: Secondary Social Studies Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Secondary Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Cumberland County Technical Education Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and supervision to students in a supportive and positive classroom climate.

Job Summary:

The Secondary Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching Social Studies to students in grades [insert grades]. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to students in Social Studies, using a variety of teaching methods and materials.

  3. Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  4. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
  5. Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices in Social Studies education.
  6. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement curriculum and instructional programs.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Requirements:
  1. A valid New Jersey instructional certificate in Social Studies.
  2. Experience teaching Social Studies to students in grades [insert grades].
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
  5. Ability to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  6. Ability to assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
Working Conditions:
