Job Summary
As an Operations Manager at Walmart, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that our business plan is implemented and our goals are met. This includes managing workload, forecasting staffing and performance results, and preparing and analyzing business reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise associates and leaders in the area of responsibility, providing direction, monitoring performance, and giving feedback.
- Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved, using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
- Develop, distribute, and maintain procedures and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
- Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
- 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.
