Corporate Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to oversee our client's financial operations and ensure the integrity of their accounting systems. This is a critical role within the finance department, responsible for managing financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.

The Corporate Controller will work closely with senior management, providing insight and analysis to drive financial decision-making. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in high-level accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements.
  • Lead the annual audit process and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
  • Manage a small accounting team, offering leadership and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting teams.
