Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join our team at Valdosta State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing student applications, maintaining files, and evaluating applications for admission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process student applications, reviewing packets for completeness and readiness for evaluation.
  • Maintain student application and other files and records, preparing student files for evaluation.
  • Evaluate student standardized test scores and calculate GPA to determine compliance with admissions requirements.
  • Evaluate student transcripts to determine transfer credit.
  • Communicate with students in person, by email, and by telephone to advise of admission status and provide information and assistance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related work experience.
