Job Summary:
In the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit at Albany Medical Center, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, greeting visitors in a courteous manner, and answering phones in a professional tone. Additionally, they will locate key personnel to direct calls and respond to inquiries, make appointments, book rooms as necessary, and prepare and distribute outgoing reports via email and inter-departmental mail.

We are looking for someone who is able to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of their role. About the Role:
This Unit Coordinator position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with post-high school training or related work experience preferred. Certification with the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators (NAHUC) is also a plus.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $20.50 - $25.63, commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
