The Virtual Internal Medicine Physician will operate within an adult outpatient care framework, providing comprehensive virtual consultations. This role involves conducting patient assessments remotely during standard business hours, ensuring a patient-centered approach while being part of a clinical team focused on delivering value-based healthcare and achieving optimal clinical results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual consultations utilizing a specialized digital health platform.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage patients effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, presenting information in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers.
  • Supervise and mentor Advanced Practice Clinicians assigned to the virtual care practice.
  • Evaluate and interpret diagnostic data and laboratory findings.
  • Gather comprehensive medical histories and perform thorough assessments.
  • Conduct health risk evaluations in a virtual format.
  • Fulfill specific duties as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with contemporary virtual care delivery methods.
  • Contribute to the formulation of virtual care protocols, guidelines, and training initiatives for healthcare providers.
  • Willingness to engage in onsite patient care at designated intervals.
  • Participate in strategic digital health discussions and clinical meetings.
  • Embrace the challenges of delivering care in a rapidly evolving virtual environment and adeptly utilize new technologies.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in primary care.
  • Proven experience in a virtual care setting.
  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD, DO).
  • Completed residency training in Internal Medicine.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Maryland.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
