We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Staff Nurse on the 3rd floor Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of clinical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, individualized patient-centered care based on the Watson Model of Care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse-patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members using the SBAR method.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, including monitoring forms and reporting findings to the Clinical Unit Supervisor and Nurse Manager.
- Assist with unit orientation of new employees and participate in integrated testing for the Care Collaborative System.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in Nursing with a current California Nursing license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care nursing.
- Basic EKG competence and certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing or Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred, as well as basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
