Job Summary

The Broadcast Media Buyer is responsible for assisting with all aspects of broadcast media buying (audio and video) for assigned clients and media teams. This role involves negotiating, placing, managing, and reconciling broadcast media for assigned clients, working closely with Sr. Broadcast Buyers and Broadcast Supervisor to ensure buy goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support buying, negotiating, and executing multiple schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with Sr. Media Buyers and integrated planners to aid the development of media plans for assigned clients
  • Implement client-approved plans and maintain positive communication with client services, account management, creative, and integrated planning and activation teams
  • Maintain an understanding of clients' brands, products, markets, and target audiences
  • Support best practices across the team and within the department, identifying areas for operational efficiencies and leveraging Rise tools and technology for client benefit
  • Assist Sr. Buyer with accountability and ownership of client portfolio, ensuring work is completed accurately and timely
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or advertising, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of media buying experience, with background in audio (OTA) and video (linear and non-linear) planning, buying, and execution
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with MediaOcean/Spectra and Microsoft Office, as well as knowledge in research/data tools (SQAD, Kantar, Nielsen, comScore, PrimeLingo, etc.)
