Job Title: Med Tech

Discovery Village at Westchase is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech to join our team. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on care and support to our residents, ensuring their safety and comfort in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical and emotional support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Observe and report any changes in resident condition, including skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, and notify supervisors and/or Health Care Coordinators of any increased care needs.
  • Assist with continence management, serve and collect food trays, and maintain cleanliness of resident suites and community restrooms.
  • Practice good standard care precautions, including cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity, and physical safety.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
