Network Security Systems Manager

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Systems Manager to oversee the security of our voice and data networks in the DoE Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS).
About the Role- The successful candidate will lead a team of network security administrators to maintain and securely operate LAN, WAN, telecommunications, and voice systems.
- Cybersecurity vulnerability scanning using approved tools such as ACAS scan tool, SIEM system, data security analytics, and HBSS will be conducted to monitor/identify network and system vulnerabilities.
- Unclassified/classified servers, devices, and workstations on the networks will be scanned to validate compliance in accordance with the cyber security vulnerability assessment program.
- The Government's compliance with RMF and NIST standards will be ensured.
- Server and workstation STIG compliance on the unclassified and classified networks will be maintained by conducting consistent validation checks.
- Cybersecurity tools such as STIGs, configuration guidelines, ACAS, HBSS, and other cyber tools will be used to provide information and validate compliance.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in managing network security systems for LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice systems is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is mandatory.
- Cisco and/or CISSP certifications are desirable.
- Leadership experience in teams of network security administration or network administrators is essential.
- Familiarity with various network security concepts, practices, and procedures is necessary.
- Ability to coordinate with stakeholders on major system events such as application upgrades, hardware upgrades, deployments, load tests, and launches.
- Technical advisement to bordering networks must be provided effectively.
- Familiarity with CNSS standards is required.
- Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and interact professionally with all levels of an organization.
- Must be a US citizen and hold a current DoD Top Secret or DoE Q clearance.
