Restaurant Manager Job Description

As a Restaurant Manager at Taco Cabana, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of our team members, ensuring that they provide exceptional customer service and maintain the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the management team in staffing, training, and development of hourly associates.
  • Supervise and direct staff to ensure guests are treated promptly and courteously, and products are prepared to company standards.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new team members, evaluating their performance and recommending wage increases or disciplinary action as needed.
  • Utilize company training tools to provide ongoing training and development for hourly team members.
  • Assist in maintaining restaurant equipment and facilities, reporting needed repairs to the Division Leader.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including new hire paperwork, payroll actions, inventory ordering, and register audits.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Attend regular store, market, and company meetings, staying current with federal, state, and local certifications.
  • Assist the General Manager in planning and implementing local store marketing activities.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality preferred; High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a restaurant environment, with career progression and verifiable results.
  • Ability to adapt to business needs, solve problems quickly, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a functional understanding of Profit & Loss statements and restaurant operations.
  • Ability to speak, write, and comprehend English in a business setting.
  • Successful completion of a background and drug screening.
Work Environment:

The work environment is a temperature-controlled restaurant with a low to moderate noise level.
