Senior Machinist

Lumicity is seeking a highly skilled Senior Machinist to join our team. As a Senior Machinist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds to meet precise specifications and tolerances.

• Tool Fabrication and Maintenance: Machine parts and tools, including the development, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tools, jigs, and fixtures used in production.
• Design and Development: Design, develop, and manufacture tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds, ensuring they meet precise specifications and tolerances.
• Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials for tool construction based on strength, durability, and compatibility with the manufacturing processes.
• Technical Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to create or modify tools accurately.
• Inspection and Adjustment: Inspect finished tools for accuracy, precision, and quality, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tools to extend their lifespan and ensure continuous production.
• Collaboration: Work with design engineers, production managers, and team members to align tools with production goals.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and innovations in tool design and manufacturing techniques.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of tool designs, modifications, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting activities.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
