The Registered Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their physical and behavioral health needs.
- Supervise and coordinate care provided by licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other staff members.
- Communicate effectively with the treatment team, including physicians, therapists, and program managers, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Administer medications accurately and document patient responses.
- Monitor patient acuity, census, and staffing needs, making arrangements for coverage as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on various health topics, including medication management and patient rights.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical area, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric care.
- Valid current RN license from the state or a compact state, where applicable.
- Certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
