About the Role:
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to assist in the creation of a cutting-edge financial technology platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Transform product requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications that deliver value to users.
- Identify and resolve software issues to ensure seamless business operations and an exceptional user experience.
- Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality and adherence to standards.
- Write unit and integration tests, implement observability, and follow best practices for builds and deployments.
- Provide on-call support by participating in the team rotation and managing production issues from analysis to resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, security, compliance) to bring innovative ideas to fruition.
- Design robust API interfaces and domain models for consistency across vendor integrations.
- Develop secure, scalable, and efficient systems for transaction processing and customer data management.
- Estimate project timelines and ensure projects remain on schedule, escalating issues as necessary.
What You Will Need:
At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Typical qualifications include 2+ years of relevant professional experience or advanced education. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a solid foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial for thriving in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with financial concepts or fintech applications.
- Experience in designing and implementing APIs for third-party developers.
- Experience integrating third-party solutions into backend systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (Flask & Django), Java, or Go.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices like CI/CD.
- Experience managing projects from design through post-launch operations while maintaining high technical standards.
