Pediatric Home Service - Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Pediatric Home Service. As a leader in home health care, we provide high-quality services to children with medical needs, allowing them to thrive in their homes, schools, and communities.

Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing initial patient assessments, ensuring communication and coordination of services among clinical teams, and developing patient-specific plans of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial patient assessments, including physical, functional, social, and environmental resource requirements and needs.
  • Ensure communication and coordination of services among all clinical services.
  • Develop patient-specific plans of care based on initial assessments, including problems, goals, and interventions.
  • Review and revise care plans on an ongoing basis, ensuring that all patients are followed according to PHS policy.
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy.
  • Participate in care conferences and collaborate with all care team members internally and externally.
  • Participate in day-to-day trouble shooting, analyze problems, formulate solutions, and notify manager on-call as needed.
  • Attend department and staff meetings as necessary.
  • Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy.
Requirements
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS)
