The Role

A Cashier is responsible for timely, efficient, and accurate credit card transactions and reporting. They will also be responsible for setting-up, maintaining and cleaning their workstation.

Responsibilities

A Cashier is responsible for:

  • Preparing simple menu items
  • Selling items, collecting payment and making correct change
  • Interacting with customers to ensure superior customer satisfaction
  • Carefully entering all sales into the cash register to ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded
  • Performing closing duties including clean up, product storage, and trash removal
  • Providing quick, efficient, accurate and friendly service to all guests
  • Verifying I.D. on all customers ordering alcohol
  • Suggestively selling and up selling items
  • Maintaining a clean, neat and safe work area
  • Interacting with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations involving all United States monetary units (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Qualifications

A Cashier must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
  • Be able to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting
  • Be able to work fluently in English
  • Be able to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
  • Be able to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs/ramps
  • Be able to work all events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services
