Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing transit vehicle maintenance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring our fleet is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose and repair issues with transit vehicles, including brakes, suspension systems, and other critical components
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
  • Use hand tools and power tools, including pneumatic wrenches, lathes, and welding equipment
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to Transdev's safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3-4 years of maintenance experience with heavy-duty transit equipment preferred
  • Ability to obtain Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements
  • ASE certifications in H2, T2, T4, or H4 preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read English, interpret safety documents, and other mechanical diagrams
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in extreme temperatures, lift up to 75 pounds, and stand for long periods. You must be able to work flexible schedules, including shifts and overtime as needed.
