About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a Manual Machinist, you will play a critical role in the repair and maintenance of industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Manual Machining Tools: Utilize engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and related equipment to perform precision repairs and maintenance.
  • Safely Use Heavy Equipment: Operate overhead, gantry cranes, and lift trucks, as well as associate lift rigging, to ensure safe and efficient movement of equipment.
  • Perform Mechanical Measurements: Use portable mechanical instruments, such as dial indicators, micrometers, and portable vibration measurement equipment, to accurately measure and diagnose equipment issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience as a machinist for electric motor repair is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read micrometer measuring equipment, operate manual lathes of various sizes and dimensions, and perform basic math functions.
  • Training and Certifications: Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
  • Availability: Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
