Job Overview:
As a Lead Financial Strategist at General Dynamics Information Technology, you will play a pivotal role in supporting essential initiatives and driving the expansion of our organization.

As a member of the Finance team, your contributions will be vital in ensuring the safety and security of our nation.

Your responsibilities will include specialized financial planning and analysis activities in accordance with established project or departmental guidelines and protocols.

This position will involve serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee advanced functions across various financial domains including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for a diverse portfolio of programs with different contract types.
• Spearhead the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial status reports as required by operational teams.
• Communicate monthly forecasts, risk assessments, and variance analyses to senior leadership.
• Generate financial updates, Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports, and fulfill other corporate reporting obligations during the monthly close and forecasting cycle.
• Conduct thorough analyses of monthly forecasts alongside current quarter and future projections.
• Serve as the primary liaison for financial communications between Project Managers and finance leadership.
• Collaborate with management to develop long-term financial models.
• Identify potential risks and ensure they are addressed.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, as well as compliance with government regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide financial leadership to the organization, fostering profitable growth and identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Manage revenue and cost adjustment submissions, ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.

Qualifications for Success:


• Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of relevant financial analysis experience is required.
• In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related experience is acceptable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various departments and organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
• Effective time management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities and clients.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of billing and revenue cycles.
• Ability to prepare and review pricing with recommendations for management.

Highly Preferred Skills:
• Experience in a government contracting environment and knowledge of various government contract types is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle, Concur, Essbase/Smartview, and Hyperion or similar financial systems is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
• The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $103,500, subject to adjustment based on experience and geographic location.
