Job OverviewPosition Summary

This is a part-time role. Shift details: Evening shifts (3 PM - 7 PM) in an outpatient environment and a Sunday mid-shift (1 PM - 9 PM) in a hospital context.

Radiology professionals who join University Hospitals in either part-time or full-time roles may qualify for a sign-on bonus of $10,000 (for full-time) or $5,000 (for part-time).

Eligible roles encompass: CT Technologist, MRI Technologist, Mammography Technologist, Mobile Van Mammography, Multi-Modality Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiographer, Sonographer, and Special Procedures Technologist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibits proficient technical and patient care skills by effectively executing CT scanning protocols and procedures in Diagnostic CT.
  • Ensures quality patient care during visits to the CT department, adhering to established service excellence standards.
  • Utilizes administrative capabilities to enhance the efficient operation of the department.
  • Collaborates efficiently and promptly with colleagues and staff.
  • Fosters and maintains positive relationships with patients and coworkers.
  • Complies with hospital CT safety protocols.
  • Takes initiative for personal development and encourages a culture of learning.
  • Provides age-appropriate care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Works cooperatively with colleagues while maintaining a positive demeanor.

Additional Duties

  • Performs other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Adheres to all policies and standards.
  • For specific responsibilities, refer to documentation provided during departmental orientation.
  • Must comply with all regulations to securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are established to ensure appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program. (Required)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a radiologic technologist. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient in operating a variety of equipment specific to the field, including CT scanners, power injectors, and various computer systems. (Required)
  • Experienced in retrieving and managing patient information for care. (Required)
  • Capable of performing procedures specific to the role. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (Required) and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT-R) certification and a current Ohio license. (Required)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional sitting.
