Penske Mobile Technician II Job Description

Join our team of skilled technicians at Penske, where you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. As a Mobile Technician II, you'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they're in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty truck components
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists
  • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they're safe and roadworthy
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
  • Ability to read a map and operate a 26,000 non-articulated vehicle safely and professionally
  • Basic computer skills required for data entry into maintenance systems
