Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Emerald City Emergency Clinic. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and efficient medical care to patients, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Obtain patient medical history from clients and referring veterinarians, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, and provide results to veterinarians.
  • Educate clients on pet health needs, nutrition, and preventative care, and provide guidance on medication administration and other medical topics.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree from a two-year veterinary technology program with accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
  • State-recognized veterinary technician certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) with credentials in good standing.
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures, including medical terminology and equipment operation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with clients, veterinarians, and other team members in a professional and compassionate manner.
