Housekeeping Assistant Job Description

At Hampton Inn & Suites Kutztown, we're seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure brand and hotel standards are met.
  • Train, schedule, coach, and support associates to perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards.
  • Ensure efficient room cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement improvements.
  • Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
  • Clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms as needed.
  • Address associate performance and behavior concerns.
  • Supervise laundry employees.
  • Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, reach, kneel, and bend.
