Job Summary

The Confectionery Artisan will be responsible for preparing a variety of products, including fudge, corns, brittles, caramel, and/or chocolate-dipped items, waffle cones/bowls, and many more. This role will also involve assisting with various duties when not preparing products, with a primary focus on ensuring customers have an outstanding experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets and interacts with customers
  • Answers customer questions and makes sales suggestions
  • Has a working knowledge of product offerings
  • Makes products following Kilwins-approved recipes
  • Follows proper regulations for food handling
  • Assists with restocking and setting up displays
  • Operates Point of Sale (POS) system
  • General cleaning; dust, sweep, mop, and wash windows, empty garbage
  • Packs boxes and baskets

Requirements

  • Ability to operate POS system and count back change
  • Ability to work well with others, listens well and follows direction
  • Must be customer service oriented, with good personality and manners
  • Must read and speak English and have good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous food preparation experience helpful, but not necessary
  • Previous sales experience helpful, but not necessary

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in retail store environment
