We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a dynamic school district near Pleasanton, CA. As a key member of our educational team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students who require speech and language support, collaborating with teachers and families to help them overcome communication challenges and reach their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs, working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure effective implementation.
- Provide direct therapy to students with various communication disorders, using evidence-based practices to promote language development and communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor and support student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet IEP goals.
- Serve as a resource to school staff, helping them better support students' speech and language needs, and providing professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Valid California SLP license required.
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
