We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Manager to join our team at ATC White Plains. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality care services to our patients, ensuring compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the hospital's mission and vision.
- Manage personnel, including interviewing, recommending hires, evaluating, counseling, and recommending terminations.
- Develop and submit operating and capital budgets, and report variances on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
- Assure completion of staff orientation, annual, and ongoing competency and education requirements.
- Participate in the hospital's Performance Improvement Program and submit monthly reports.
- Attend management/leadership meetings and conduct staff meetings as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with RN License required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 5 years managerial experience within the acute hospital.
- Previous experience as a case manager required.
- Knowledge of healthcare financial, regulatory, and payer issue setting required.
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal programs required.
- Experience with Milliman/Interqual criteria required.
- PRI/Screen certification preferred.
- C.C.M. certification preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- Demonstrates ability to establish two-way communication, clearly defining expectations and functions based on regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Communicates with staff, utilizing various methods, and actively listens to ideas and concerns, responding in an appropriate manner.
- Demonstrates ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately.
- Retains composure under stress, escalating issues to the director as needed.
- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks.
- Must be physically able to move quickly throughout the work environment and the hospital.
- Must be able to utilize a computer with Microsoft Office experience.
- Must be able to read and write, using analytical skills to interpret and data and make necessary conclusions and recommendations.
