Job Title: Surgical First Assistant - CVOR

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Alto Health Care Staffing. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Surgical First Assistant will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including preparing patients, instruments, and equipment.
  • Prepare operating rooms, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including disposing of biohazardous waste and cleaning equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited surgical first assisting program.
  • Current surgical first assist certification (Certified Surgical First Assist - CSFA).
  • CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) certification within three months of hire.
  • Three years of surgical technologist experience, with cardiac experience required.
Work Environment:

This is a travel position, with a 13-week duration. The shift is days, 6:30a-5p, with 4x10hr shifts, holidays, and call required.
