Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to work with students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and experience working with students of various ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving their fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and overall functional abilities
Partner with teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational programs
Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEP goals

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington
Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred
Experience in a school setting is highly desirable
Strong assessment and intervention skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and school staff
