Job Summary

Burke County Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and hold a Georgia Service Certificate (SS) in Speech Language Pathology with Clinical Competency Certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify students with speech-language impairments and evaluate their communications skills.
  • Participate in student staffing to determine student needs and develop individualized education programs.
  • Implement speech and language objectives on individualized education programs and provide consultative services to teachers, parents, and administrators.
  • Investigate and implement new strategies for delivering student services through research and continuing education.
  • Collaborate with school administrators to plan and implement speech-language pathology programs.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in diagnostic assessment and transitional programming, as well as knowledge of Special Education programs and curriculum.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with administrators, teachers, and parents.
