Baking Assistant

Job Summary

Utah State University is seeking a skilled Baking Assistant to join our Dining Services team. As a Baking Assistant, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality baked goods for our campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate large industrial mixers to prepare batter, dough, and frosting.
• Bake a variety of sweet and savory items.
• Measure, weigh, and portion ingredients with precision.
• Decorate cakes and pastries.
• Stock and fill ingredient bins, including lifting 50-pound bags of flour and sugar.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Food handlers permit required within the first 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of baking principles.
• Previous food handling experience.
