As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery area.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional needs during the recovery process
  • Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely and efficient transfer of patients to the PACU
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the anesthesiologist
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the anesthesiologist or other healthcare team members
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • Current, temporary, or compact license to practice nursing in New Mexico
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP certifications preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate core competencies in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and more
