JOB OVERVIEW:
The Enterprise Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the global enterprise architecture at NBCUniversal.

This position requires close collaboration with senior leadership to develop and implement an enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and technological roadmap.

The Architect will lead a team of solution architects, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and design principles.

Staying abreast of emerging technologies and architectural frameworks is essential for success in this role.

Collaboration with various teams outside of architecture, including project management, security, infrastructure, DevOps, quality engineering, application delivery, data architecture, and business transformation, is a key aspect of this position.

The Architect is expected to be a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to these teams.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Enterprise Solution Design:
    Interpret high-level requirements to align with enterprise strategy and create comprehensive designs.
    Document and present these designs to executive leadership.
    Ensure designs are globally applicable and can be implemented by development teams.
  • Enterprise Framework & Platform Rationalization:
    Establish and lead an enterprise framework for architecture, such as TOGAF.
    Collaborate with other leaders to enforce framework design and utilize it for long-term strategic goals regarding application and platform rationalization.
  • Technology Strategy:
    Drive the long-term architectural vision and strategy to meet business needs.
    Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture and long-term vision.
  • Business Process Management:
    Engage with business and technology teams to conduct process analysis, modeling, automation, and optimization while adhering to governance and compliance standards.
  • Technical Collaboration & Expertise:
    Work alongside delivery, project management, product, business transformation, quality engineering, IT security, infrastructure, and support teams.
    Provide in-depth technical architecture expertise across the enterprise.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
A master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE:
15+ years of IT experience with large integrated projects or a combination of education and experience.
3+ years in enterprise architecture roles.
5+ years in architecture or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in leading development projects, strategic planning, resource management, and implementing large-scale applications.
Successful track record of working with vendors to ensure compliance with development and delivery requirements.
Experience with agile methodologies is preferred.
