  • Assessment Review: Assist in evaluating assessment appeals, providing necessary documentation and expert testimony when required.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in assessment software and databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and precision in data collection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and GIS software.
  • A commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in property assessment or real estate appraisal is advantageous. Familiarity with appraisal techniques and property tax regulations is beneficial. Certification as a Maine Assessor or a willingness to pursue certification within a specified timeframe is preferred.
