About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team in the Surgical & Liver ICU department. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity.
  • Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and record data established by policy and procedure.
  • Report observations and patient problems to licensed nurses and participate in teamwork by responding positively to requests for assistance.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information in a clear and timely manner.
  • Document care administered, diagnostic measurements, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Must complete one of the following: PCA externship, PCA internal internship, six months of direct patient care experience, or enrolled in a school of nursing program with a completed first clinical rotation.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - State Licensure (for Skilled Nursing Facility/SNF/Rehab departments only).
