About the Role:

We design high-performance custom analog and mixed-signal layout for integrated circuits using advanced design rules and expert problem-solving skills. You will apply these skill sets to ensure that layout conforms to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete work through use of CAD layout software
  • Work closely with engineers to provide high-quality layout in a timely manner
  • Able to do block level, macro level, and top-level design; floor planning, assembly, and verification
  • Experience working in multiple processes
  • Able to lead peers/teams on complex blocks and top-level design
  • Communicate regular status updates
  • Takes on mentoring/leadership roles to promote high-quality work of entire team
  • Able to learn and evaluate new tools/features with little supervision and proactively share knowledge with peers
  • Able to recognize common analog structures and floorplan blocks/top-level utilizing best analog layout practices
  • Create and give presentations, write how-to documents, and training instructions for layout and engineering peers
  • Recommend new/changes to policies, methodologies, and established procedures

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent; A combination of 8+ years of training and related experience; An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of basic electrical properties and principles
  • Strong familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Layout XL, Calibre, and Unix
  • Advanced knowledge of layout-dependent effects regarding device and process matching techniques
  • Execution in Top-Level assembly of Layout
  • Strong knowledge of latchup prevention
  • Strong knowledge of ESD protection schemes
  • Strong familiarity with P&R methods (a plus)
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Outstanding communication and verbal presentation skills
