Material Handler

At Parkdale US Cotton, we are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient shipment of yarn and maintaining accurate inventory levels.

• Coordinate with planning to schedule all yarn shipments and provide corresponding documentation.
• Maintain accurate pallet inventory and verify pallet label information against handwritten information.
• Receive and verify returned yarn and complete returned yarn reports.
• Assist in repacking and labeling of products, and generate weekly and monthly computer reports as required.
• Keep plant manager informed of any special shipments, problems, or issues that may hinder efficient shipment of yarn.
• Work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety rules and procedures, and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.

• Previous forklift experience and forklift certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn and perform all scheduled job procedures independently.

The successful candidate must be physically equipped to maintain an upright, walking position for 12-hour shifts and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. A clean and organized work environment is essential, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting is required.
