Job Title: LPN - Med/Surg 9A

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Medical-Surgical 9A unit at Carle Foundation Hospital. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities will include administering medications, performing various nursing tasks, and documenting patient information. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and perform various nursing tasks as directed by RNs
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
