Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings to aid in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.

About the Role

This position involves traveling to patient locations, operating portable x-ray equipment, and ensuring image quality while maintaining patient care standards. You will also be responsible for preparing images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians, transmitting images, and completing records and reports according to company protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and residential homes.
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patients' bedides or designated exam settings.
  • Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
  • Complete all forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, assist with troubleshooting, and problem-solving as directed by management or service department personnel.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a valid state-issued driver's license, good driving record, ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds, and walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment. You should also have experience working a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
