Behavioral Health Specialist

At Truecare, we are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our primary care treatment team. As an integral part of our team, you will identify, triage, and manage primary care patients with medical and behavioral health problems. Your expertise will be essential in providing skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies, as well as developing specific behavioral/therapeutic treatment plans for patients. You will also assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems, detecting at-risk patients, and assessing the clinical status of patients referred by the primary care provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psycho-education and patient education strategies to patients with medical and behavioral health problems.
- Develop and implement behavioral/therapeutic treatment plans for patients.
- Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems.
- Detect at-risk patients and assess their clinical status.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an accredited program.
- Licensed in California as an LCSW, Psychologist, LMFT, LPCC.
- At least two (2) years' experience providing psychotherapy (CBT-based models preferred) with children, adults, and adolescents.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
