Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning, shaving, and numbing testing sites as appropriate.
  • Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and reacting appropriately.
  • Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following preferred: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
