Job Description

The Clinical Assistant - Behavioral Health will assist counselors, therapeutic staff, and nurses in providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health services, or co-occurring disorders in various settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing positive helping relationships with clients
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities and building pro-social relationships
  • Ensuring client health, safety, and well-being
  • Implementing interventions based on individual treatment plans
  • Monitoring and documenting client progress

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of experience working directly with seriously emotionally disturbed children or seriously mentally ill adults, or completion of one year (24 hours) of college classes
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurability under corporate policy
