Pipe Fitter Technician

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain commercial and industrial production and processing piping systems.

• Interpret sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings.
• Clean, bevel, prepare and install pipe with various fittings and weld joints.
• Perform layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings.
• Install pipe and related materials and equipment.
• Inspect worksite to determine presence of obstructions.
• Plan sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
• Cut pipe using pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.
• Thread pipe using threading machine.
• Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
• Test piping systems.
• Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation.
• Maintain tools and equipment.

• 3-5 years' experience as a pipe fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• NCCER certified.
• Ability to sketch complex isometric drawings with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
