ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are in search of a skilled and devoted pharmacist to assist in promoting hope, healing, and recovery among our patients. Your main duties will include processing medication orders and prescriptions while carefully reviewing each for potential adverse reactions, duplications, incompatibilities, and allergies. You will also be responsible for packaging medications and applying appropriate auxiliary labels, as well as providing essential information to patients and medical staff regarding usage, dosage, side effects, and safety precautions. By utilizing your outstanding communication abilities, you will interact directly with patients and nursing personnel, ensuring clear instructions and reducing the likelihood of adverse reactions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Schedule may vary based on operational requirements.
  • Complimentary parking available.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid pharmacy license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Ability to perform essential job functions is necessary.

Legal Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.
  • A conditional offer of employment will necessitate a medical examination.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act, which requires satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
