Pipeline Welding Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:
The Pipeline Welding Specialist is responsible for executing various construction and maintenance activities on petroleum products and crude oil facilities. This position will work around pipelines, executing tasks such as welding, analyzing engineering drawings, and performing general maintenance on equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
- Weld 6010/8010 downhill and 7018 uphill on mainline piping systems; pass all applicable API 1104 and Company required welding qualification tests
- Apply concepts while welding in different situations, including remediating pipeline anomalies by installation of a sleeve, prefab welding in a shop, and installing prefabricated components in the field per prints
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, procedures to plan piping layout for welding operations
- Perform pipeline maintenance activities, including manual labor, bolting, torquing, pipe fitting, fabrication, and hydrostatic testing

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field
- Previous pipeline welding experience

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year (estimated)
