Kennel Attendant

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Kennel Attendant - Animal Welfare to join our team at Westheimer Animal Clinic Bellaire. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility, including feeding, bathing, and exercising them.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in animal care, be passionate about providing top-notch care, and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and veterinarians.

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Provide daily care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising
• Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including restraint
• Record and report on animal behavior, health, and feeding schedules
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the animals

Requirements:

• Prior experience in animal care, preferably in a clinical setting
• A strong passion for working with animals and providing excellent care
• Ability to interact with animals calmly and non-threateningly
• Excellent physical stamina to perform daily tasks
• Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
