Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an ongoing infection prevention and control program to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Notify public health authorities of reportable diseases.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
  • Attend committee meetings as assigned.
  • Manage nursing staff and complete nursing care functions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of employment.
  • Certified as a Gerontology Nurse preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a floor nurse with at least one year of clinical experience related to geriatric nursing.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Currently certified in CPR.
