Job Summary

Cencora is seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with automated equipment, including single phase or three phase electrical systems up to 600volts, AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic Controllers (PLC), HMI's, PLC Inputs/Outputs.
  • Test equipment and instrumentation system including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder and block logic, and load programs or configure PLC's, HMI, and scanners.
  • Perform preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
  • Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and define necessary modifications.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts in a CMMS environment.
  • Provide assistance in the configuration, maintenance, modifications, and system upgrades of MHE.
  • Work with equipment and software vendors on design specifications and improvements.
  • Develop and solicit bids from vendors for maintenance, janitorial, snow removal, landscape and other contracts necessary to support all building and MHE systems.
  • Responsible for associate relations functions including directing, supervising and developing a staff of Maintenance Support Specialists.
Requirements
  • Requires some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires one (1) to two (2) years related and progressively responsible experience; strong electrical background preferred.

Salary Range: $50,940 - $74,000 per year. This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale.
